ON THE CUSP
After years of putting out stuff on cassette, this was my first CD. At the time I was living on a ranch in the Utah desert. My friends Steve and Susan Dotson ran a nearby resturant, the Paria Canyon Outpost. One evening in June 2000 I set up in their porch and recorded "On the Cusp" in one long take. Susan plays hand drums near the end. You can hear people talking, dogs barking and trucks passing on Highway 89 behind me.
